Each person 22 years of age or older must pay a non-refundable processing fee of $550.00 In the case of a business application, the principal applicant pays $1,050.00 and each other adult member of the family pays $550.00. In all applications, children under 22 are subject to a fee of $150.00 per child.

Processing fees are paid at the time the application is filed. In addition to the processing fee, each applicant who is 22 years or older must pay a Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) of $490.00.. Children under 22 are not subject to this fee. Formerly known as a Right of Landing Fee, this fee has been described as a “Head Tax” because it reflects the government’s view that each new member of Canadian society should contribute to the cost of the Canadian infrastructure that they find in place upon arrival in Canada

The Right of Permanent Resident Fee must be paid before you can receive permanent residence status.
