Areas of Practice
- All Canadian immigration and refugee law with a focus on applications for temporary and permanent residence in Canada.
Nina received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2004 and a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2008.
While in law school, Nina represented low-income clients at the Community Legal Clinic and volunteered at the Refugee Forum. She articled and subsequently worked as an Associate Lawyer at an immigration and refugee law firm in Toronto, where she gained valuable experience in all areas of immigration and refugee law, including appeals, hearings, and written applications. She has also previously worked as a lawyer for the Government of Canada where she worked on an interdepartmental initiative seeking ways to combat human trafficking.
Nina has been engaged in independent aid work throughout several developing nations, and has co-founded SEED [Students for Education Empowerment and Development] a registered charity. She presently volunteers as a legal advisor to several non-governmental organizations that deal with a variety of issues, including bolstering Canadian laws to assist human trafficking victims, as well as micro-financing and literacy initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa.
Nina joined Mamann, Sandaluk & Kingwell in May 2011 where she practices in all areas of immigration and refugee law with a focus on applications for temporary and permanent residence in Canada.
