Sanaa Mahmood is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and was called to the Bar of Ontario in September 2015. Sanaa received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from the University of Toronto. She also holds a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) from the University of Toronto, Department of Medical Genetics, and an Honours Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons.) from McMaster University Departments of Mathematics and Biology. Sanaa was on the Dean’s Honour List from 2002 to 2006, she received numerous awards during her academic career including McMaster Honour Award, Aiming for the Top Tuition Scholarship, Ontario Graduate Scholarship, University of Toronto Open Fellowship, and membership in the Golden Key Society.
Since her call to the bar, Sanaa has been practicing exclusively in Immigration Law. Sanaa practices in all areas of Canadian Immigration and can assist clients with a variety of matters including temporary applications such as work, visitor and study permit applications, as well as applications for permanent residency and citizenship. In particular, Sanaa is experienced in matters relating to business immigration, including labour market impact assessments [LMIAs] and LMIA-exempt work permits.
