Guidy Mamann is the founding partner of Mamann Sandaluk LLP, a leading Canadian immigration and refugee law firm based in Toronto. He began his career as an immigration officer with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, gaining invaluable insight into Canada’s immigration system. Guidy holds a degree in political science from York University and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985. He is called to both the Ontario Bar and the Massachusetts Bar, and he practices both Canadian and U.S. immigration law.
Guidy became the youngest lawyer ever certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Immigration Law in 1995. He is one of only 33 lawyers in Ontario certified in Immigration Law, and one of just 13 certified in Refugee Protection Law—with only 12 lawyers certified in both specialties. His high-profile cases have attracted international media attention, and he is regularly consulted by journalists, government agencies, and NGOs on immigration law and policy.
Rated by Lexpert as one of Canada’s “frequently recommended” immigration lawyers, Guidy has also served as President of Jewish Immigrant Aid Services (JIAS) in Toronto and as Programme Coordinator for the Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
